Donald and Amelia's Original Page

This is an album of photographs depicting what we have been doing over the last couple of years.

The first photograph was taken at the Alfred Dunhill Symphony of Fire, the Cape Town leg of the show. I shot off a whole roll of film, but the results were mostly not worth publishing.

Our monster cat.

Hex River 4x4 Trail

This was Nic Smuts doing this difficult climb in his new D90. A Range Rover broke a half-shaft on this climb and needed to be towed all the way up the trail.

We took the escape route which is a gentle drive off to the left of the picture.

Skurweberg

The next sequence of photographs were taken our first trip to Skurweberg, near Sutherland.

This is George.

Pieter Fourie, the organiser of the trip, works at the observatory. He gave us a guided tour on the last day.

Citrusdal

The next trip was to the Citrusdal area. One of the farmers in the area allowed us to camp on his farm.

Peter Bruyns.

This was an excursion on another farm. We found the road closed by a fallen tree and needed to do some work to clear it.
