Victoria Falls - 18th to 20th May 2001

We saw these people performing outside the arts and crafts market.This is the view from patio at the Victori Falls Hotel.There was a lot of water going over the falls. Perhaps too much.The main falls. From here on it was too wet to use the camera.The bridge to Zambia. This is where the bunghee jumping is done.Out for a booze cruise.... with a beautiful sunset.These are tame, trained elephants.Amelia and I with our mahout, Shadrack.This is a tethered balloon which takes tourist up to view the area.One can see the Kingdom Lodge, standing where the Macassar Sun used to be.The falls from 150m above the earth.The gorge snakes away into the distance. Apparently the falls eats backwards up the Zambezi at the rate of 9 inches a year.
